Pioneer Women Survive Early Scare to Move to 6-0

The Dakota College-Bottineau Lumberjacks started out on fire and jumped to a 28-11 first quarter lead that had the Miles Community College faithful stunned at the Centra on Sunday afternoon. The MCC women's basketball team then showed why they are undefeated on the season outscoring DCB 62-27 over the final 3 quarters to walk away 6-0 in MonDak conference play after a 73-55 win.

Freshman Kelbee Denham (Malta, MT) spearheaded the comeback by scoring 20 points (5-9 FG, 5-9 3's, 5-6 FT's) and the nation's leading scorer Rebekah Dallinger (Sydney, Australia) stuffed the statsheet with 23 points (8-12 FG, 2-5 3's, 5-7 FT), 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 steals to also help in the come back victory. 

Lili Long (Melbourne, Aus) posted a double double with 14 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3's, 4-6 FT's), 10 rebounds to help the Pioneers to a 6-0 conference record with a rematch tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 vs. the Dakota College-Bottineau Lumberjacks at 4:30 PM MST. The Pioneers shot 50% pm on the night and 48% from 3-pt percentage.
