Tanner's Huge Night Leads Pioneer Women to Victory

Kate Tanner (6'1 Freshman, Melbourne, Australia) led 4 Pioneers in double figures by scoring 18 points (8-16 FG, 2-4 FT), grabbing 16 rebounds (10 offensive), and nabbed 4 steals to lead the Pioneers to a 79-58 win over Bismarck State to run their record to 10-0 (9-0 MonDak Conference). The Pioneer held a 44-20 halftime lead and built that lead to as many as 30 points in the 3rd quarter to coast in to victory. Rebekah Dallinger 5'9 Freshman, Sydney, Australia), the NJCAA leading scorer (26 ppg) added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the win. Sophomores Lili Long (Melbourne, Australia) and Olyvia Pacheco (Rawlins, Wyoming) each scored 15 points. Long added 8 rebounds and 5 assists while Pachecho had 6 rebounds and 3 assists. 

The Pioneers outrebounded the Mystics 51-39 on the night and had 20 assists on 29 FG. MCC did struggle a bit from the FT line only converting 12-21 (57%). The undefeated Pioneers hit the road to Bismarck on Thursday night for a matchup with United Tribes Technical College. The game will tip at 4:30 PM MST.
