Pioneers 63... Bismarck State 73
Both teams started out cold and finished hot as Bismarck State got the best of the Miles Community College women 73-63 on Monday night in Bismarck, ND. The Mystics put 3 players in double figures and survived a hot shooting night by Pioneer guard India Blyth (Melbourne, Australia to get the win. Blyth scored 30 points (10-16 FG, 8-12 3's, 2-2 FT) to keep the Pioneers in shouting distance but the Mystic balance was too much to overcome.
Sydney Gustavsson (Mandan, ND) scored 22 points (7-14 FG, 2-3 3's, 6-6 FT), grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 5 assists to lead the way for the Mystics. Katherine Fox (White Shield, ND) added 17 points (7-13 FG, 0-5 3's, 3-4 FT) and 6 rebounds while Ashton Kinnebrew (Bismarck, ND) had 15 points (6-20 FG, 0-6 3's, 3-5 FT). Haley Gereau (Manvel, ND) led the Mystics with 8 rebounds.
Jessica Tomkins (Melbourne, Australia) added 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 FT) and a team high 9 rebounds in the loss for MCC.
