Pioneer Women Overcome Turnovers to Sneak by Dawson

Pioneers 63... Dawson 61

The MCC Pioneers overcame a shaky first half that saw them have 20 turnovers yet they went in to the halftime break tied 28-28. Dawson could not take advantage of the Pioneer turnovers as they shot only 33% from the field in the 1st half despite taking 19 more field goal attempts than did the Pioneers.

Dawson was able to get a desperation heave from half court but it was blocked.

Becky Melcher (Forsyth, MT) and Brae Eneboe (Conrad, MT) proved to be a solid inside/out combination for the Pioneers. Melcher connected on 16 points (6-16 FG, 3-9 3's, 1-2 FT) to go along with 6 rebounds and Eneboe hit for 15 points (4-6 FG, 7-9 FT) and a team high 8 rebounds.
