PIONEER RODEO SIGNS DECOSTA

(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College rodeo team has announced that Taylor-Ann DeCosta will be joining the Pioneers for the 2018-2019 season.

DeCosta will participate in breakaway roping, team roping, and goat tying while at MCC. Taylor-Ann is from Kaneohe, HI and attends high school at James B. Castle High School.

DeCosta has many rodeo accolades. During the 2016-2017 season she had a, 1st in team roping, 1st in cutting, 2nd in pole bending, 2nd in goat tying, 3rd in barrels, 3rd in reining cow horse, and was a reserve all-around cowgirl. At the state finals, DeCosta was 1st in pole bending, 4th in cutting, 4th in goat tying, and 5th in team roping. Taylor-Ann was also a member of Team Hawaii at the National High School Finals Rodeo.

DeCosta is the daughter of Christina & Norman DeCosta of Kaneohe, HI.

While at MCC, Taylor-Ann plans to major in General Studies.

DeCosta on attending MCC: "A friend that is currently attending MCC told me about the school and the rodeo team. I decided to come up for a visit during my spring break and check it all out for myself. The school was great, the people were very nice, the rodeo team is awesome, and the food is good. I felt very welcomed at MCC and I can't wait to attend in the fall."

Coach Badgett on DeCosta: "Taylor-Ann is an all-around competitor in all of her events. She will be a great addition to the MCC rodeo team."
