PIONEERS TAKE DOWN TETONS IN THREE

Miles City, MT - The Tetons of Williston State College traveled to Miles City on Wednesday to take on the Pioneers.  MCC took control from the beginning.  The Tetons were able to stick with the Pioneers point-for-point in the first two sets, however, the Pioneers ultimately proved to be too tough and swept the Tetons, 3-0.  The set scores were as follows:  25-21, 25-23, 25-11.

The Pioneers had 27 total assists, led by Samantha Bonenberger with 16 and Tori Ogolin with 10.  Amaya LaFranier had 10 kills and Bonenberger was close behind with seven of the team's 33 total kills.  The Pioneers had 48 digs in the game, led by Kailey Thomson with 12 and Bonenberger with eight. Leah Aigner led the team with three blocks, followed by Uluwehi Brooks and Bonenberger with two each, while the team managed seven. Bonenberger had three aces to lead the team.

The Pioneers will travel to Devil's Lake, ND for a tournament on Friday and Saturday this week.
