Miles City, MT - The Pioneers traveled to Devil's Lake, ND to take part in the Sleep Inn Slamfest, starting on Friday, October 19. In the first game of the day, MCC took on Assiniboine College.  It was an exciting, back and forth game, with the two teams closely matched. The Pioneers managed to get the win, 3-2.  The Pioneers took the first set, but Assiniboine came back to win the second and third sets.  With their backs against the wall, MCC rallied to win the fourth and fifth sets to take the game victory.  The set scores were as follows:  25-19, 21-25, 20-25, 25-15, 15-13.

Samantha Bonenberger led the team in assists with 27.  Bonenberger also had 15 kills to lead the team.  Kailey Thomson led with 33 digs on the night.  Hailee Kuske had seven blocks to lead the team and Briley Cook led the team in aces with four.

In the second game of the day, the Pioneers faced Oak Hills University.  MCC dominated the whole time and never gave Oak Hills a chance to get in any sort of rhythm.  The Pioneers got the easy win, 3-0.  The set scores were as follows:  25-9, 25-12, 25-10.

Samantha Bonenberger led the team in assists with 15.  Bonenberger also had seven kills to lead the team.  Kailey Thomson led with 16 digs on the night.  Briannah Quick had six blocks to lead the team and Bonenberger led the team in aces with six.

The Pioneers will return to the court on Saturday, October 20 to take on CMU at 11:00 am and Northland at 3:30 pm in Devil's Lake, ND.
