PIONEERS FINISH SLAMFEST 3-1

Miles City, MT - The Pioneers split day two of the Sleep Inn Slamfest in Devil's Lake, ND.  In the first game of the day, MCC took on CMU.  MCC dominated and never gave CMU a chance to get into the game.  The Pioneers got the easy win, 3-0.  The set scores were as follows:  25-12, 25-15, 25-12.

Tori Ogolin led the team in assists with 17.  Bonenberger had 15 kills to lead the team.  Kailey Thomson led with 24 digs on the night.  Briannah Quick had five blocks to lead the team and Thomson led the team in aces with four.

In the second game of the day, the Pioneers faced Northland Community and Technical College.  It was a hard fought game on both sides of the net.  MCC got off to a great start and took the first two sets.  Unfortunately, they couldn't keep up the intensity and ended up falling in five.  The set scores were as follows:  27-25, 25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 12-15.

Samantha Bonenberger led the team in assists with 27.  Amaya LaFranier had 17 kills to lead the team.  Kailey Thomson led with 39 digs on the night.  Hailee Kuske had four blocks to lead the team and Anniekate Burghduff led the team in aces with two.

The Pioneers travel to Glendive, MT on Monday, October 22 for their final game of the regular season.  The game will begin at 7:00 pm.
