SIMMONS SIGNS WITH PIONEER VOLLEYBALL

(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College volleyball team has announced that Mariah Simmons will be joining the Pioneers for the 2019-2020 season.

Simmons is a 6'0" RS/OH from Bighorn, MT. She attends and played high school volleyball at Hardin Public Schools in Hardin, Montana. 

Mariah has been on the A-Honor Roll every year since 2015 and is a member of National Honor Society She has been serving as an FFA Officer since 2016 and is a member of the Varsity Club and AAU Volleyball . 

On the court, Simmons was chosen 2nd Team All-Conference in 2017 and 1st Team All-Conference in 2018.  Simmons Serve Percentage her Senior Year was 91.3% and her hitting percentage was +0.218.

Simmons is the daughter of Eva M. Pennington of Hysham, MT and Tyler K. Pennington of Hardin, MT.   While at MCC, Simmon plans to work on degrees in Agribusiness and Equine Studies. 

 Simmons on attending MCC: "I chose Miles Community College mainly for their volleyball program.  The fact that it has my majors and a nice small campus helps a lot too.  The Agriculture and Equine Facilities are great. MCC is close to home."

Coach Soennichsen on Simmons: "Mariah is a great student athlete that comes from a great Class A program in Hardin.  She is a very versatile offensive weapon and we can't wait to see her in action in Pioneer blue next fall."
