PIONEER VOLLEYBALL SENDS THOMSON TO NEXT LEVEL

Head coach Chase Soennichsen announced that Kailey Thomson is planning to continue her career as a student athlete next season at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT.

Kailey is originally from Billings, MT.  After two years at MCC, Kailey will graduate with an A.A. degree, emphasis in Elementary Education.  Thomson's defensive skills were unmatched on the court.  She had 706 digs during the 2018 season, which was good for 17th in the nation.

"MCC allowed me the opportunity to play right away against very good competition," Thomson commented on her time in Miles City.  "The amount of practice time and repetition allowed me to improve my overall abilities."

Coach Soennichsen will miss his defensive specialist, "We are excited to see Kailey move on and play at one of the nation's top NAIA schools.  It's tough to see student athletes move on, but I can't think of a better place for her to finish off her college career."

Kailey is looking forward to playing in her hometown with a nationally ranked team.  "It has always been a dream of mine," Thomson commented.

Rocky Mountain College is a member of the Frontier Conference within the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
