The 2019 Pioneer Volleyball team picked up its first victory of the season on Friday. After falling in a 5 set thriller to Region IX Sheridan College, MCC dominated Northwest College from the start for a 3-0 win. 

After dropping the first 2 games against Sheridan, MCC rallied to win the next 2 before falling 15-7 in the 5th set. Mariah Simmons (Hardin, MT) led team with 12 kills, Sage Diegel (Miles City, MT) and Matilda Dietz (Manhattan, MT) each had 16 digs. Diegel added 3 aces. Olivia Easton (Billings, MT) had 2 blocks. Samantha Bonenberger helped out with 37 assists. 

The Pioneers first 2019 victory in a 25-23, 25-17, 25-19 over Northwest College saw Diegel lead with 7 kills. Andrea Batchelor (Baker, MT) had 13 digs and 3 aces, Hailey Kuske (New England, ND) had 3.5 blocks, while Bonenberger had 19 assists. 

The final game of the Casper Classic is this morning at 8:00 vs. Colby Community College.
