The Pioneer Volleyball team took the long road trip across North Dakota and came away empty handed as the 19th ranked NDSCS Wildcats took Tuesday's MonDak Conference match 3-0 over MCC.
The Wildcat victory avenged an earlier loss to the Pioneers in Miles City.
MCC got off to a good start and led Game 1 23-20 before seeing NDSCS rip off 5 straight points to win the game. Game 2 went long and the Pioneers had chances again but fell 27-25 and then NDSCS closed it out with a 25-13 win.
Olivia Easton (Billings, MT) had 9 kills to lead MCC. Samantha Bonenberger (Billings, MT) had 20 assists and 5 aces. Saige Diegel (Miles City, MT) contributed 2.5 blocks and Matilda Dietz (Manhattan, MT)had 14 digs.
MCC falls to 3-4 in MonDak Conference play and 9-12 overall. The team travels to Devils Lake, ND for another conference match tonight at 6:00 PM MST.
