The MCC Pioneer Volleyball team rallied from Tuesday nights loss vs. NDSCS and defeated Lake Region State in Devil's Lake 3-1. The road victory was the first conference road win for the Pioneers and evened up their MonDak Conference record at 4-4. MCC is also 10-12 on the season. Coach Chase Soennichsen's team is sitting in 4th place in the conference and only 1/2 game back of Williston State for 3rd Place. Bismarck State and NDSCS are tied for the conference lead at 7-1. 

Mariah Simmons (Hardin, MT) had a big night for the Pioneers. She contributed 10 kills, 6 aces, and 2.5 blocks. Olivia Easton (Billings, MT) also had 10 kills on the night. Sam Bonenberger (Billings, MT) dished out 32 assists and Matilda Dietz (Manhattan, MT) helped on defense with 11 digs.  Next up for the Pioneers is a road match at league leading Bismarck State on Tuesday, October 15. The Pioneers next home match is October 22 when they host Dakota College-Bottineau.
