The MCC Pioneer Volleyball rallied from a rough night in Bismarck on Monday with 2 wins at Lake Region Tourney in Devil's Lake, ND.

The Pioneers knocked off Assiniboine College 3-1 and then Northland College 3-0 on Friday and will try to get a weekend sweep on Saturday. 

Match 1 vs. Assiniboine got off to a rough start for MCC as they couldn't get anything going. After that game, the Pioneers ripped off 6 straight to win the day. Billings Senior grads Olivia Easton and Sam Bonenberger led the charge. Easton had 9 kills and Bonenberger dished out 32 assists. Mariah Simmons had 2 blocks and Matilda Dietz had 32 digs. 

In Match 2, MCC dominated from the get go. The straight set 25-11, 25-12, 27-25  was highlighted by a 38 assist performance by Bonenberger. Olivia Easton added 14 kills and Dietz picked up 14 digs. Saige Diegel had 2 blocks and Taylor Stahl had 3 aces. 

MCC is back at it again tomorrow at 9:30 AM MST vs. Providence and 12:30 PM MST vs. Dakota College-Bottineau.
