In what amounted to just a tune up prior to the Region XIII Tourney and with it's postseason seed already known, MCC dropped a 1-3 decision in Glendive on Sunday night. 

The Pioneers had already locked up the 3-seed in upcoming tournament and knew it would be hosting a match Wednesday night. Dawson was playing with its season on the line and still hoping for a postseason bid. 

The first set took extra time as Dawson squeaked out a 29-27 victory. Miles rallied to win set 2 by the score of 25-21. Games 3 and 4 both went to Dawson 25-22 and 25-20. 

Mariah Simmons led the Pioneers in kills with 13. Celsa Castro had 23 digs, Samantha Bonenberger picked up 24 assists, and Hailee Kuske had 3 blocks. 

The Pioneers host a playoff match on Wednesday night. We were told the opponent would be Williston State but it appears that is up in the air and will be known on Monday night.
