Match #1 vs. Jamestown JV - Loss (16-25, 11-25, 25-21, 12-25)
The opening match of the 2022 Pioneer Volleyball season didn't go as the Pioneers would have liked as the Jamestown College JV took care of business sending the Pioneers to 0-1. Madi Ramsey (Billings, MT) led the team in assists with 11. Josee Krum (Worden, MT) was the benefactor of many of those assists accumulating 8 kills in the match. Krum also had 2 service aces as did Lyndsey Kale (Shepherd, MT) and Abrianna Nielson (Glasgow, MT). Skylar Higgs (Livingston, MT) had 3 aces to go along with her team leading 12 digs. Macy Limberhand (Worden, MT) and Kale each had 3 blocks in the match.
Match #2 vs. Mayville State JV - Loss (7-25, 17-25, 25-19, 25-19, 6-15)
Match #2 of the invitational saw the Pioneers facing the Mayville State JV team. Offensively for MCC, Sophomore Macy Limberhand (Worden, MT) had 11 kills and 3 aces. Fellow Huntley Project alum Josee Krum landed 11 kills in the match. Setting up the hitters was Trynadee Goldsberry (Laurel, MT) with 33 assists. Hannah Kingham (Roundup, MT) had 6 blocks and 3 aces while Libero Skyler Higgs (Livingston, MT) had 19 digs.
Match #3 vs. Lake Region State - Loss (13-25, 17-25, 15-25)
The Lake Region State College Royals outmanned the Pioneers on Day 2 of the Bismarck State Invitational. Madi Ramsey (Billings, MT) and Skyler Higgs (Livingston, MT) each had 2 service aces for MCC. Hannah Kingham (Roundup, MT) had 4 kills to lead the way at the net for the Pioneers and Trynadee Goldsberry (Laurel, MT) provided 11 assists. Defensively, Skyler Higgs (Livingston, MT) had 14 digs and Macy Limberhand (Worden, MT) had 2 blocks.
Match #4 vs. Bismarck State - Loss (11-25, 13-25, 9-25)
The final match of the invitational had MCC facing perennial power and host school Bismarck State. The Pioneers could not get much going from the start as the Mystics took control early and stayed in control. Madi Ramsey (Billings, MT) had the only ace of the match for the Pioneers. Jose Krum (Worden, MT), Macy Limberhand (Worden, MT) and Rylie Morton (Florence, MT) each had 3 kills to lead the way at the net. Limberhand had 2 blocks while Skyler Higgs (Livingston, MT) had 12 digs. Trynadee Goldsberry assisted on 6 Pioneer kills.
