Pioneers 1... Rocky JV 3 (21-25, 25-19, 25-27, 12-25)

The MCC Pioneer volleyball squad failed in it's attempt to pick up their 1st win of the season at Rocky Mountain College JV on Tuesday night in Billings. The teams split the 1st 2 games of the match and game 3 was full of excitment as the Pioneers had a game point opportunity slip thru their fingers as Rocky picked up the game and momentum to defeat the Pioneers. 

Leading the way offensively for the Pioneers at the net was sophomore Josee Krum (Worden, MT) with 10 kills. Hannah Kingham (Roundup, MT) added 9 kills and Macy Limberhand (Worden, MT) chipped in 8. Trynadee Goldsberry (Laurel, MT) assisted on 27 MCC kills. Limberhand had 4 service aces and Krum added 3. 

Defensively, Goldsberry had 9 digs and Eva Boone (Billings, MT) collected 8 digs. The Pioneers had only 2 blocks in the match (Kingham, Limberhand). 

MCC will start MonDak Conference play at home on Tuesday night against North Dakota State College of Science at 7:00 PM.
