Pioneers 0... Lake Region State 3 (14-25, 19-25, 19-25)

The Lake Region State College Royals got off to a hot start in game 1 and rode that momentum to a convincing 3-0 win over Miles CC in MonDak Conference volleyball action Wednesday night in Miles City. The Pioneers could never gain traction on the night as the Royals size wore the Pioneers down. 

Defensively for the Pioneers, Eva Boone (Billings, MT) had 12 digs on the night and Josee Krum (Worden, MT) added 10. Hannah Kingham (Roundup, MT) and Lyndsey Kale (Shepherd, MT) each had 2 blocks in the match. Krum led the Pioneers with 5 kills while Kale and Madi Ramsey (Billings, MT) each had 4. Ramsay led the team in assists with 9. 

The loss dropped the Pioneers to 0-7 on the season and 0-2 in MonDak Conference play. They will step out of conference again on Monday night searching for the first win of the season with a trip to Dickinson, ND to play the Dickinson State JV at 6:00 PM.
