Pioneers 0... Dawson 3 (9-25, 14, 25, 23-25)

The MCC Pioneers got off to a quick start in game 1 of MonDak Conference match against Dawson CC on Wednesday night. The Pioneers led 3-2 and had the home crowd full of energy but Dawson scored 12 of the next 13 points in the game and cruised to a 25-9 win. Game 2 was much of the same thing and game 3 was tense until the final ball hit the ground in a 3-0 Buccaneer win. The Pioneers hung tight and tied the match at 22-22 before falling in 3. 

Macy Limberhand (Worden, MT) led the way for the Pioneers at the net with 6 kills and a block. Josee Krum (Worden, MT) and Hannah Kingham (Roundup, MT) each had 4 kills. Lyndsey Kale (Shepherd, MT) had 2 service aces and 11 digs to lead the way in those categories. Trynadee Goldsberry (Laurel, MT) had 14 assists and Skyler Higgs (Livingston, MT) chipped in with 11 digs as well. 

With the loss, the Pioneers drop to 0-6 in MonDak Conference play and 0-15 overall. Dawson moved to 3-3 in conference play and 8-11 overall. MCC will host the Rocky Mountain College JV tonight at 7:00 PM and then hit the road Friday for a match with Minnesota State in Bismarck, ND at 5:00 PM MST.
