Bismarck State Handles Pioneer Volleyball

Pioneers 0... Bismarck State 3 (18-25, 8-25, 6-25)

The MCC Pioneer Volleyball team hung tight in game 1 against MonDak Conference leading and NJCAA 15th ranked Bismarck State on Monday night in Bismarck. The Mystics held on for a 25-18 win and then turned up the heat in games 2 and 3 defeating MCC 25-8 and 25-6. Bismarck State moved to 22-2 on the season and are sitting at 8-1 in MonDak Conference play. 

The Pioneers got 8 assists, 7 digs, and 2 kills from freshman setter Cearra Oblander (Worden, MT). Josee Krum (Worden, MT), Macy Limberhand (Worden, MT), Lyndsey Kale (Shepherd, MT), and Abrianna Nielson (Glasgow, MT) each had  2 kills. Krum, Limberhand, and Skylar Higgs (Livingston, MT) each had an ace. Kale had the only block of the match for the Pioneers. 

The Pioneers fell to 0-9 in MonDak Conference play and 0-20 overall. They will host Dickinson State JV Tuesday night at 7:00 PM and have their final 2 home matches Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Wednesday Oct. 12 against Dakota College - Bottineau and Williston State.
