MCC Volleyball Loses Final Regular Season Match at Dawson

Pioneers 1... Dawson 3 (22-25, 18-25, 25-16, 19-25)

The MCC Pioneer volleyball team ended it's regular season with a disappointing loss at rival Dawson. The Pioneers were able to win game 3 but could not get over the hump in game 4 to force a deciding 5th game. 

In the loss, the Pioneers were led offensively by Josee Krum (Worden, MT) with 15 kills. Krum also added 11 kills and 4 blocks. Trynadee Goldsberry (Laurel, MT) returned to the court after being sidelined with an injury to have 19 assists, 10 digs, and 2 aces. Cearra Oblander (Worden, MT) had 12 assists and 2 aces. Skylar Higgs (Livingston, MT) had 11 digs and 2 aces in the match. Eva Boone (Billings, MT) led the team in digs with 13 and also had 2 aces. Macy Limberhand (Worden, MT) had 4 blocks on defense as did Hannah Kingham (Roundup, MT). 

The Pioneers end the regular season with a 2-22 record and 1-11 in MonDak Conference play. They will enter the Region XIII West Playoffs as the #4 seed and travel to 14th ranked Bismarck State on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM MST. The Mystics are 28-2 on the season and 11-1 in conference play. The Pioneers defeated Bismarck State last season to win Region XIII West before falling to NDSCS in the Region XIII Championship.
