Pioneers 1... Carroll JV 3 (25-23, 18-25, 23-25, 16-25)

The MCC Pioneers took a 2-match winning streak to Helena on Sunday afternoon and the Carroll College JV snapped the streak with a 3-1 win. 

The Pioneers got off to a good start winning game 1 but could not keep the momemtum as the Saints rallied to win the next 3. 

Leah Champlin (Billings, MT) led the Pioneers with 12 kills and was followed by Ashtynn Egan (Colstrip, MT) and Ruby Gray (Billings, MT) with 8 each. 

Maria Stewart (Billings, MT) had 33 assists, 15 digs, and 2 aces in the match. Bree Swanson (Chinook, MT) had 18 digs and Egan added 17. Jayda Southworth (Winifred, MT) contributed 2 aces. 

The Pioneers are now 7-7 on the season and will play another non-conference match tonight against the Rocky Mountain College JV in Billings at 7:00 PM.
