NDSCS Gets Big Road Win Against Pioneers

Pioneers 0... NDSCS 3 (22-25, 19-25, 23-25)

The MCC Pioneer volleyball team had an opportunity to tie the NDSCS Wildcats for 2nd place in the MonDak Conference standing. The Wildcats came in to Miles City and strengthened their grip on 2nd place and set themselves up for a chance at the conference title with a 3-0 win over the Pioneers Tuesday night. 

All 3 games were close but the Wildcats made the plays they needed to make down the stretch to pull out the win. 

MCC got 8 kills from Leah Champlin (Billings, MT) and 7 from Kodiann Lynn (Simms, MT) to lead the attack at the net. Maria Stewart (Billings, MT) had 30 assists and 4 service aces to round out the offensive side of the net. 

Bree Swanson (Chinook, MT) had 13 digs and Ashtynn Egan (Colstrip, MT) added 10. Kodiann Lynn also had 4 blocks at the net. 

The Pioneers are 4-3 in MonDak Conference play and 9-8 overall. MCC will host Lake Region State on Wednesday night at the Centra (7:00 PM).
