Pioneers 3... Dickinson State JV 1 (25-19, 24-26, 25-11, 25-14)

The MCC Pioneer Volleyball team took to the court for its final non-conference game of the season and took a lopsided 3-1 win over the Dickinson State JV.

The Pioneers dominated games 1, 3, and 4 while taking a 24-26 loss in game 2. 

MCC got 17 kills from Leah Champlin (Billings, MT) and 16 more from Kodiann Lynn (Simms, MT). MCC played without 2 injured starters in Ruby Gray and Jayda Southworth. Skyla Pierson (Deer Lodge, MT) filled in on the front line with 9 kills. Maria Stewart (Pryor, MT) had 43 assists and Champlin added 3 aces to round out the offensive side of the net. 

Champlin had a team high 4 blocks and Hattie Bumgarner (Belt, MT) added 3. Bree Swanson (Chinook, MT) had 19 digs and was followed closely by Ashtynn Egan (Colstrip, MT) with 16, Bailey Nowicki (Miles City, MT) and Harli Graves (Great Falls, MT) with 12 each. 

The Pioneers are now 10-9 overall and 4-4 in MonDak Conference play. The Pioneers hit the road tonight for a match against league leading Bismarck State at 6:00 PM MST.
