Mystics Hand Pioneer Volleyball Road Setback

Pioneers 0... Bismarck State 3 (19-25, 9-25, 9-25)

The Miles Community College volleyball team made the trek to Bismarck, ND Tuesday night for a MonDak Conference match against the league leading Mystics. The Mystics sent the Pioneers back to Miles City in short order with a commanding 3-0 victory to keep Bismarck State on top of the league standings. 

Bismarck State gained control of the match early and never relinquished their advantage. 

In the quick match, Kodiann Lynn (Simms, MT) had 7 kills and Leah Champlin (Billings, MT) added 5 kills with an ace. Maria Stewart (Pryor, MT) had 18 assists. 

Bree Swanson (Chinook, MT) had 14 digs and Ashtynn Egan (Colstrip, MT) added 12. Skyla Pierson (Deer Lodge, MT) had the lone block of the match for MCC. 

The Pioneers are now 10-10 on the season and 4-5 in conference play. They will hit the road again next week with games on Bottineau on Tuesday and Williston State on Wednesday. The final home match for MCC is October 18 against Dawson.
