Miles Community College volleyball coach Robin Cusimano has announced the signing of Zeason Schaffer from Broadus, Montana as the first signee for the class of 2024.

Schaffer is a 5'10 outside hitter from the state class "C" runner up Broadus Hawks. Zeason was a 4-time all conference and allstate performer on the court for the Hawks and is 5th for most kills in a career in the state of Montana. She is 2nd in state history for most kills in a match.

Schaffer had 577 kills in her senior season and had 1,512 for her career. She also had 278 digs this past season and 956 for her career. She also had 83 service aces this season and has 199 for her career. 

The Broadus Hawks were conference champions in 2022 and 2023, Divisional champions in 2023. 

On why Schaffer chose MCC: " I chose to attend MCC because it gives me a great opportunity to heighten my skills in volleyball. This also allows me to get my associates degree in business. It is close to home so that I can visit my family often. I also chose MCC because the team is very loving and welcoming."
