Pioneer Volleyball Signs Setter From Wyoming

MCC Pioneer volleyball coach Robin Cusimano has announced the signing setter Tehya Gallegos to a national letter of intent.

Gallegos is from Burns, Wyoming where she helped lead her team to a 2A 3rd place finish in 2021, a 2A state championship in 2022, and a 2A runner-up finish at the Wyoming state tournament in 2023. Her team also qualified for nationals in Orlando, Florida in 2023.

Gallegos had 1,152 career assists at Burns High School and also had 100 aces and 150 digs. She was an All-State selection her senior year and All-Conference her junior and senior seasons.

On why she chose Miles: "I chose MCC becuse it was very welcoming, the volleyball team as well as Coach Cusimano were very supportive and encouraging. The atmosphere  was small and community like. It seemed like a great fit for me being I am from a small town. I can't wat to be a part of MCC."
