When the MCC volleyball program was brought back in to existence in 2017, Cusimano was an assistant coach for the next 5 seasons before taking over as Interim Head Coach in 2021. The 2021 Pioneer team defeated Bismarck State for the first time in program history to win the Region XIII West championship before losing the Region XIII title match to NDSCS. At the conclusion of the 2021 season Cusimano retired from coaching due to a medical emergency. After a year passed, Cusimano now has a clean bill of health and the opportunity to coach at MCC became available and she took advantage. Prior to starting at MCC, Cusimano coached youth programs in Miles City before starting the Miles City Volleyball Club and also was a freshman and JV coach at Custer County District High School. 

Cusimano grew up in Chinook, MT and has been around volleyball for over 30 years. She was the JV coach at Dawson County High School starting in 2007 before moving to Miles City in 2012. Robin and husband Jim own Big Sky Financial where she is a financial advisor. They have branches in Miles City, Glendive, and Baker. Robin and Jim have been married for 15 years and have 4 children. Son Tyson (29) played baseball at MCC in 2011-12 and daughter Saige (22) played volleyball at MCC in 2019. Nick is 13 and Max is 10.
